Five Minute Catch Up
Let me tell you about books and motherhood lately (in the time it takes to make a cup of tea).
If you’ve been here a while, you might remember that when I started the ‘Marginalia’ strand of Crib Notes in November 2023, it was intended to be a real-time, from-the-front-line-of-motherhood round-up of what I had been reading (or trying to read). But then I started writing essays (about Palestine; about the emotional adjustment to becoming a mother of two; about decluttering my bookshelves etc. etc.) and interviewing authors, and Marginalia became something different.
I still want to give the speedy round-up a whirl— so let me introduce ‘Five Minute Catch Up’, in which I tell you about books and motherhood recently, in the time it takes you to make a cup of coffee.
If you’d like to read the most recent issue of my signature Crib Notes newsletter, featuring book reviews for new/busy/knackered mothers, you can find it here.
