I just finished Breasts by Jean Hannah Edelstein and completely agree with you - perfect length, so much wit and so many wry observations. I'm going to pick up her other memoirs!

Feeding in a sling was a skill I was so proud of, I miss doing it now my babies have all grown out of theirs. I have a copy of Breasts and am excited to read, though I've not been in the right mood for it quite yet!

Such a godsend too when you have more than one! My youngest basically spent the first 3 months of his life breastfeeding in a sling!

Haha, I think my youngest spent the first year in there (in fact, I know she did!)

Sandwich made me understand my mother so much better. It also made me simultaneously put my daughter back inside my body and also sit down and watch a feature film on the rest of her life immediately! My favorite book of the last few years - reading it 8 months postpartum was perfection.

I absolutely LOVE the way you've expressed this. The book really does evoke every single stage of motherhood, all at once in such a vividly relatable, emotionally resonant way. And at the same time it's JUST SO READABLE. Like you say, perfection 💖
